Gypsy Rose Blanchard Says Ken Urker Endured Cyberbullying Before Death

Gypsy Rose Blanchardis sharing insight intoKen Urker’s life in the spotlight.

One day after theLife After Lockupstar’s boyfriend died suddenly Oct. 1, she shared a glimpse into his personal struggles.

“Ken endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms,” Blanchard said in a statement shared to her Instagram Story Oct. 2. “The cruelty toward him was something no human should have to endure. I believe the tremendous weight of that scrutiny and harassment had a profound impact on him.”

While authorities—who are currently amid an investigation—have not yet confirmed Urker’s cause of death, Blanchard expressed belief toPeoplethat her boyfriend hadexperienced an overdose and that she wasn’tsure whether or not it had been intentional.

“I hope his passing serves as a reminder,” she continued, “that there is a real person behind every screen, every headline and every comment.”

The 35-year-old highlighted Urker’s love fortheirdaughterAurora, 21 months, and called her a “beautiful reflection of his enduring spirit.”
