Angel Studios Sets Release For ‘Solo Mio’ With Kevin James, Alyson Hannigan, Jonathan Roumie

AngelStudios has set a February 6 wide theatrical release for Solo Mio directed byChuck Kinnane and Dan Kinnane (Home Team) and produced byMark FasanoandJeffrey Greenstein. It’s the first romantic comedy for faith-based Angel (The King Of Kings, The Sound Of Freedom).

Kevin James stars as Matt, a man whose dreams of a picturesque Italian wedding are shattered when his fiancée leaves him at the altar. Matt embarks on his planned honeymoon across Italy alone, immersing himself in the country’s vibrant culture, food, and beauty, meeting Gia (Nicole Grimaudo) along the way.

With Alyson Hannigan, Kim Coates, Jonathan Roumie, Julee Cerda and Julie Ann Emery. Written by James and Patrick and John Kinnane.

Hannigan — whose previous credits include Universal’sAmerican Piefilm franchise and hit seriesHow I Met Your Motherand Buffy the Vampire Slayer – plays a twice-divorced woman who is on her third honeymoon with the same man.

Roumie is known for playing Jesus in The Chosen.

The project marks the second collaboration between James, Fasano’s Nickel City Pictures, and Greenstein’s A Higher Standard, afteraction film Playdate.
