“So, the encore continues,” says Jarvis Cocker. “Come out and have some fun with us. You deserve it. Yes. You do.”

Pulp will tour North America for the first time in more than a decade this September. The band, having played a streak of European shows last year, will perform in Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York as part of their This Is What We Do For An Encore tour. More European shows are also in the schedule.

In a press release, Jarvis Cocker said, “So, the encore continues. The songs came back to life and they want to be heard. They need to be heard. Come out and have some fun with us. You deserve it. Yes. You do.” Support will come from Escape-ism, a band Cocker describes as “the Found-Sound-Dream-Drama featuring Ian Svenonius & Sandi Denton.” The tour is dedicated the late Pulp bassist Steve Mackey, who died in March last year.
