Michael McDonald Announces Memoir What a Fool Believes

Written with help from actor Paul Reiser, the book arrives in May

Michael McDonald has announced a new book. What a Fool Believes: A Memoir is out May 21 via Dey Street Books. The book promises stories from across his career, including stories about Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, James Taylor, and Carly Simon. The book was co-written with McDonald’s friend Paul Reiser, the actor whose credits include Mad About You, Stranger Things, and more.

McDonald has recently been touring with the Doobie Brothers. In addition to voicing hit songs like “I Keep Forgettin’,” McDonald has contributed to several contemporary artists’ singles, including his Thundercat and Kenny Loggins collaboration “Show You the Way.”
