Yesterday, Ozzy Osbourne announced that he could no longer perform at Power Trip for health reasons. “The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly,” Osbourne promised. “They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed.”

Judas Priest have now said that they will replace Osbourne at Power Trip—a three-day hard rock festival that takes place in Indio, California, from October 6-8. The other acts performing at Power Trip are Metallica, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, and Iron Maiden.

In a press statement, Judas Priest said, “Power Trippers, are you ready for some Judas Priest style heavy metal! We are excited and ready to raise double horns way up high together. Keeping the metal faith at this bostin’ one-of-a-kind Power Trip world event!”

Osbourne has cut down on his live performances due to pain he experiences from a spine injury. Judas Priest were on tour for much of last year.
