However, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star explained the confusion as users accused her of writing the comment for her husband.
“That was actually Joe writing that,” Melissa wrote on Instagram Feb. 19. “He had my phone in his hand and he didn’t even realize he was writing it on my phone. I was showing him Gia’s comment.”
Joe’s original post documented the run-in with his former brother-in-law, as he wrote, “Both walked into the same bar at the same time. A lot of history there. We have memories since we were kids. I’m happy he’s doing well and looks good.”
The 43-year-old added, “We were both happy to see each other and catch up. Glad someone caught it.”
Meanwhile, not everyone saw a problem with the reunion, as Joe and Melissa’s 17-year-old daughter Antonia commented, “So sweet.”
Joe and Melissa, who have been married since 2004, are also parents to sons Gino, 15, and Joey, 12.
