From the hate-driven mother in Perception, to the yoga-class attending Liz in Three For the Road and the mob-boss no one wants to cross in Paper, actor Linda Collins is living her best life. Audiences might not like her characters, but they will surely remember them. Based in New York City, Collins was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Collins stepped away from behind the French Horn and prestigious symphonies, to star in horror, drama, comedy and everything in between. It’s obvious she’s loving every minute of it.
What’s becoming more and more clear is that Collins is building a diverse career. She’s not pigeon-holed into one genre or even just the new ‘indie’ queen. She’s proof that no role is too small, and that a working actor can work in film, tv and streaming services. Collins has certainly made the most of 2022. Her projects also include the web drama series, Clique (from Ish Brown). Besides Paper, a film alongside Blacklist’s Lukas Hassel, Collins also completed an episode of A Couple of Guys with Hassel. Collins took on Katheryn, the hair salon owner, in the thriller Cutter. Eden Wright directed and starred in the short film. Cutter is written by Nick Kunze.
In the film, Three For The Road, Collins takes on the outspoken role of as Liz, a fashionista maven that has learned to divert her pain into laughter. She lives her life out loud and has been married several times, with a healthy sexual appetite. The film is directed by David Patrick Wilson. Wilson, a veteran actor, also starred as Rory in the film. Audiences might have recognized Wilson for his work in The Gangster Chronicles, The Bronx Zoo, Who’s The Boss and The Young Riders, among many others.
