Jeff Parker and the New Breed have shared a cover of David Bowie’s 1972 song “Soul Love.” Their version of the track features Jeff’s daughter Ruby Parker, and appears on the forthcoming Bowie tribute album Modern Love. Hear their version of “Soul Love” below.

“Soul Love” appeared on Bowie’s classic album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. Modern Love is out May 28 via British label BBE Music. The project was created to highlight Bowie’s connection with the soul, R&B, jazz, funk, and gospel sounds that influenced his own work. It includes covers by Helado Negro, Khruangbin, We Are KING, Meshell Ndegeocello, and more.

“Bowie’s career went through a lot of different phases because he was always looking forward and trying new things,” Jeff Parker said in a press release. “Above all, he was an artist and an innovator. I was attracted to the eccentricity of ’Soul Love’ as soon as I heard it; Ruby and I were channeling the muse of Bowie when we tackled our rendition of it, trying to stay with his experimental, but accessible, spirit.”
