King Krule has shared a cover of John Lennon’s iconic ballad “Imagine,” from Lennon’s 1971 album of the same name. Archy Marshall posted the track on Bandcamp yesterday (January 23), with a brief statement: “Recorded in sweat, last summer, for a friend.” Listen to Marshall’s take on “Imagine” below.

Early last year, Marshall issued Man Alive!, his third King Krule LP. That album marked his follow-up to 2017’s The Ooz. Marshall has been fairly quiet since the release of Man Alive!, however in April of 2020 he shared a 32-minute performance filmed for Jehnny Beth’s French TV show Echoes. He also dropped a music video for the Man Alive! track “Comet Face,” directed by filmmaking duo CC Wade.
