Megan Thee Stallion has announced her debut album: Good News is out next week, Friday, November 20. Find the album cover below.

It’s been a big year for Meg, who released the project Suga and joined Cardi B for the massively popular single “WAP.” (It was revealed earlier this year that “WAP” wasn’t submitted for 2021 Grammy Awards consideration.) Meg also released the Beyoncé-featuring remix of “Savage.” Her last single as lead artist was the Young Thug–featuring “Don’t Stop,” which received an Alice in Wonderland–themed music video and the promise that a new album was in the works.

When Megan Thee Stallion performed on Saturday Night Live earlier this year, she made a political declaration: “We need to protect our Black women. And love our Black women. ’Cause at the end of the day, we need our Black women. We need to protect our Black men and stand up for our Black men because at the end of the day, we’re tired of seeing hashtags of our Black men.” Surrounding that performance, she launched a scholarship fund and penned a New York Times op-ed called “Why I Speak Up for Black Women.”

Meg won multiple awards at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards, including Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration (with Beyoncé), and Hustler of the Year. She recently joined DJ Chose on a remix of his song “THICK.”

Check out Pitchfork’s “The 7 Best Music Videos of August 2020,” featuring Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” at No. 1. Read “The Thrill of Megan Thee Stallion’s Real-Time Rise” on the Pitch.
