Ryuichi Sakamoto has shared a new concert film, Playing the Piano for the Isolated. It features Hidejiro Honjoh, a renowned musician known for his mastery of the three-stringed shamisen, a traditional Japanese instrument.

The concert, originally recorded in Tokyo in April, features the composer and Yellow Magic Orchestra co-founder performing songs from throughout his career, including “Andata” (from his most recent album async) and the beloved title theme to 1983’s Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence.
