Cancelation of Pitchfork Music Festival Berlin (8 + 9 May 2020)

Dear All,

As excited as we were about bringing the first edition of Pitchfork
Music Festival Berlin to the Tempodrom, we’re now equally sad to share
the news that, due to the evolving Coronavirus situation, we must
cancel the festival. There will be no make-up date, and all ticket
buyers will be refunded soon, via the ticket vendors where they were
purchased. All ticket buyers who purchased their tickets through
tickets.de will be contacted proactively via e-mail.

Even though governmental regulations regarding public events in Berlin
thus far are only in place until April 19, we feel it is our
responsibility to proactively make this decision now, as above all,
the health and safety of all festival-goers, artists, and employees is
paramount to us.

Alongside health considerations, we are mindful of restrictions of
cross-border travels, which could worsen for international ticket
holders. Pitchfork, Berlin promoters MCT, and all the artists on the
lineup have reached this decision together. As saddened as we are to
take this step, we hope for your understanding in this exceptional and
rather unpredictable situation.
