The previous two G.I. Joe blockbusters released in the past decade brought a lot of fan-favorite characters to the big screen – but next year the franchise will be getting the reboot treatment courtesy of the upcoming Snake Eyes movie. Directed by Robert Schwentke, the project is being used to launch a new cinematic future for the brand, and that means recasting a lot of important characters.

News about these roles have been slowly rolling in over the last few months, and now the latest update has arrived. According to new reports, the production has found the actress they want to play the new live-action version of The Baroness, and their selection is Money Heist star Úrsula Corberó.

This casting update comes to us from The Wrap, which notes that the actress isn’t just in talks for the part, but instead has closed her deal. She will be joining an ensemble that already has a few familiar faces attached, the most notable being Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding in the titular part. Andrew Koji is going to be playing the lead’s notorious rival, Storm Shadow, while The Raid star Iko Uwais is attached to play Hard Master.

Created as a villain for the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero comic series, she is a high ranking member of the evil organization Cobra. She is not only a brilliant tactician, but also a highly skilled fighter who can operate a wide variety of weapons, and is also a pilot. At this point in time it is unclear exactly how she will fit into the plot of the Snake Eyes movie, which will see the titular character trying to join an elite ninja society called the Arashikage Clan.

Sienna Miller previously played the part of Barnoess in Stephen Sommers’ 2009 movie G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra – though, like most members of that cast, she did not reprise the role for the 2013 Jon Chu-directed sequel, G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
