Shadowhunters alumnus Alberto Rosende has been cast in a new recurring role in the upcoming season of Chicago Fire, and now we just feel like dancing around the room singing “These Are a Few of My Favorite Things!”

Deadline reports that Rosende will join Season 8 as a new member of Firehouse 51. Rosende will play Blake Gallo, who is described as “a young firefighter who loves his job and joins Firehouse 51 as the CFD expands the number of firefighters on second shift.” The character description goes on to explain that Casey (Jesse Spencer), Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) will take him under their wings after they’re impressed by his “relentless energy,” and we’re crossing our fingers that this kid will have half as much heart and charm as Simon Lewis, the character he played on all three seasons of Shadowhunters.

This marks the actor’s first major TV role since the Freeform show’s cancellation.

Chicago Fire returns Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 9/8c on NBC.
