Janet Weiss and Sam Coomes have announced that their band Quasi is heading out on a West Coast tour later this fall. Find those dates here. It’s Weiss’ first announcement since revealing that she’d departed Sleater-Kinney earlier this month.

Their shows are taking place at the same time as Sleater-Kinney’s 2019 tour behind The Center Won’t Hold—the new St. Vincent-produced album that features Weiss. Quasi’s dates are from October 7-14, while Sleater-Kinney begin a two-month run on October 9.

“The band is heading in a new direction and it is time for me to move on,” Weiss wrote in her announcement. “We thank her for joining us on this journey many years ago; we will always cherish our friendship and our time together,” the band wrote at the time.

Carrie Brownstein later wrote a longer response to Weiss’ departure on Instagram. “She’s left us with a job to do, a job we also expected and wanted her to be a part of,” Brownstein wrote. “Her playing on this record is amazing and she’s raved about this album to us and to Annie. But we have to keep looking to the future.”

The Center Won’t Hold is out on August 16 via Mom + Pop.
