Mattel Made a David Bowie Barbie Doll

Mattel has announced a new collectible Barbie that sees their long-running doll dressed in David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust persona, as Billboard points out. The Barbie version of Bowie’s glam-rock alter ego features the prominent forehead emblem and striped jumpsuit worn by Bowie throughout promotional appearances and live shows in 1972-1973. It retails for $50; check it out here.

Bowie’s iconic hit “Space Oddity,” originally released in 1969, recently got a double 7″ reissue that will be available starting tomorrow. A sneaker collection from Vans featuring shoes with Bowie artwork—including album covers for Blackstar, Aladdin Sane, and more—was announced in April.
