Production has commenced on the new Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, and the first picture of Jeremy Allen White in the lead role is here. Check out the Bear star’s portrayal of the Boss below.

Directed by Scott Cooper, Deliver Me From Nowhere is based on Warren Zanes’ book about the period of turmoil that led Springsteen to record Nebraska. The role of Steven Van Zandt has gone to Jersey Boys actor Johnny Cannizzaro, it was announced this month. Odessa Young, Paul Walter Hauser and Harrison Sloan Gilbertson also star. Variety reported in the summer that Jeremy Strong was in talks to play Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau, though no casting announcement has been made for the role. Springsteen and his manager are closely involved in the making of the movie.
