Matthew Perry’s Sister Caitlin Morrison Remembers Late Actor Nearly One Year After His Death
Matthew Perry‘s mom, Suzanne Morrison, is opening up about her final moments with her late son.
Morrison—who shared Perry with ex-husband John Bennett Perry—felt as if something had shifted with the Friends actor ahead of his Oct. 28, 2023 passing at the age of 54.
“He went through a period, interestingly enough, just before he died when he was showing me one of his new houses,” she told Today‘s Savannah Guthrie in a clip from an interview released Oct. 25. “He came up to me and he said, ‘I love you so much, and I’m so happy to be with you now. And I’m so…’ It was almost as though it was a premonition or something.”
In hindsight, Morrison—who shares four other children with Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison, who she married in 1981—has reconsidered the bigger implications of that conversation.
“I didn’t think about it at the time,” she said, “but I thought, ‘How long has it been since we’ve had a conversation like that?’ It’s been years.”
