Writer-director John Krasinski returns to the box office with IFhis whimsical comedy that’s bringing imaginary friends to the big screen. The family-friendly flick earned $33.7 million its opening weekend, a good start for the latest Krasinski-directed project since A Quiet Place Part II.

The star-studded cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Cailey Fleming, as well as the voices of Emily Blunt, Steve Carell and Brad Pitt

Krasinski told ET’s Rachel Smith that his own daughters,10-year-old Hazel and 7-year-old Violet, lent their creative expertise to the project too. “I pitched them the movie as I was writing. I had sketches, I’m a terrible artist, but I showed them what Blue would look like…what Blossom would look like. And they loved it,” he shared.

It appears audiences are also loving it, as the film earned an “A” rating on CinemaScore.
