The comments come amid what looks to be a burgeoning romance between Taylor and the NFL tight end after the “Anti-Hero” artist attended the last two of Kansas City’s Sunday Night Football games. She first flew to Kansas City to see the Chiefs defeat the Chicago Bears in their home stadium on Sept. 24—where she spent time with Travis’ friends and family, including mom Donna Kelce. Then just one week later, the “Cruel Summer” singer watched the Chiefs take on the New York Jets in New Jersey on Oct. 1, bringing several celeb pals, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Sophie Turner, with her.

While Travis has admitted that he’s the problem it’s him, when it comes to bringing a whole lot of attention to their rumored romance—he publicly lamented not meeting Taylor at her Kansas City show earlier this summer—he’s changing up his tune now. In between Taylor’s two game day appearances, the NFL star expressed that moving forward, he plans to keep whatever happens between the two private.

“What’s real is that it is my personal life and I want to respect both of our lives,” the 33-year-old said to his brother Jason Kelce during the Sept. 27 episode their podcast New Heights. “She’s not in the media as much as I am doing this show every single week and having fun during the NFL season on other guys’ shows. I’m enjoying life and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend, so everything moving forward, I think me talking about sports and saying, ‘alright nah,’ will have to be where I keep it.”

But of Taylor’s Kansas City outing, he added, “Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy.”
