Kelly Lee Owens was the latest guest on the Song Exploder podcast, where she discussed her Inner Song track “On.” Owens says that she started crafting the song the same day the Prodigy’s Keith Flint died, and that for a long time, the track’s working title was “Spirit of Keith.” She also discusses building the song from a field recording of a train on her phone, the therapeutic qualities of the track, and more.
