Adult Swim has announced a new livestream show, the Class of 2020 Commencement Speaker Series. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, “through graduation season,” the comedy outlet will host a new personality or artist to deliver a communal commencement address. “Our featured speakers will avoid the insulting simplicity of year-end platitudes and instead provide refreshing insight to help every American clarify the challenges ahead and encourage transformative progress for all humankind. Or something,” reads a press release.
So far, comedians and artists announced for the series include Eric André, Run the Jewels’ Killer Mike, JB Smoove, Maria Bamford, Jena Friedman, and Carl Brutananadilewski, among others. The speeches will be available on-demand on the Adult Swim app and broadcast live on the Adult Swim YouTube channel at 8 p.m. Eastern. The first broadcast will air May 18.
Eric André recently announced his first-ever Netflix special, Legalize Everything, out in June.
