James Blake has performing covers of artists’ songs from his home over the past several months. After recently opening the floor to fan requests, he’s recorded a solo piano rendition of “Never Dreamed You’d Leave In Summer” by Stevie Wonder. Watch that below.

“Never Dreamed You’d Leave In Summer” was originally released on Stevie’s 1971 album Where I’m Coming From. Last month, Blake broadcasted a performance on Instagram Live, during which he covered songs by Ray Charles, Roberta Flack, and Joy Division. Prior to that, he covered Radiohead, Billie Eilish, and Frank Ocean.

Blake’s latest solo single “You’re Too Precious” was released in April. It marked his first since the release of his last LP Assume Form in 2019.
