Sam Smith and Demi Lovato have teamed up for a new song. It’s called “I’m Ready” and it arrives with a music video directed by Jora Frantzis and featuring choreography from Sean Bankhead. Watch below.
Smith was scheduled to release their new album, previously called To Die For, on May 1. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, however, they postponed its release and announced their intention to change its title—though the new date and name have not yet been announced. “I have done a lot of thinking the last few weeks and feel that the title of my album and imminent release doesn’t feel right,” Smith wrote in a statement, “so I have come to the decision to continue working on the album and make some important changes and additions.”
The album’s initial tracklist included “Dancing With a Stranger,” “How Do you Sleep?,” “To Die For,” “I Feel Love,” “Promises,” and “Fire on Fire.” According to a press release, the new record will also include “I’m Ready.”
Earlier this year, Demi Lovato debuted her comeback single “Anyone” at the Grammy Awards, followed by the release of “I Love You.” She also sang the national anthem at Super Bowl LIV. Lovato’s last full-length is September 2017’s Tell Me You Love Me.
