Kanye West’s Sunday Service Choir has released a new album called Jesus Is Born. Merry Christmas.
West executive produced JIB, which follows Ye’s last album Jesus Is King. That LP was finally released in October following a few delays. Listen to Jesus Is Born below.
In addition to the faith-based new albums, Kanye has been hosting his gospel series Sunday Service in churches and venues around the country for months. In April he and the Sunday Service Choir performed at Coachella 2019 in Indio, California. Kanye has also ventured into the world of opera as of late. He debuted his first opera Nebuchadnezzar in November. His second opera Mary premiered the following month. Jesus Is Born features multiple songs West and the the Sunday Service Choir have performed live, including “Ultralight Beam,” “Follow Me – Faith,” which interpolates melodies from West’s The Life of Pablo track “Fade.”
