Linda Porter, best known for her role as Myrtle on NBC’s critically acclaimed comedy Superstore, died Wednesday at the age of 86, Deadline reports.

The actress had apparently undergone a long battle with cancer but had appeared on episodes of Superstore earlier this year despite her illness. According to Deadline, Porter had not filmed any appearance for the currently airing Season 5, however. Over the course of her long career, Porter also guest-starred in dozens of popular series including Twin Peaks: The Return, 2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother, Gilmore Girls, The X-Files, Roseanne, Frasier, and many more.

Her Superstore co-star Ben Feldman penned a sweet message on Twitter in response to the news of her death, saying, “Here’s hoping the angels don’t call cut right away because your best stuff always came at the end. We’ll miss you Linda Porter.”

Another co-star, Mark Mckinney, posted a video of Porter on the set of Superstore, in which he asks for advice from the busy professional. Porter’s advice was to never miss a chance to go skiing, waxing poetic about the beautiful experience of being on the snowy mountains. Mckinney simply wrote, “Linda Porter. Thank you for the life advice,” in commemoration.
