Legacies Season 2 is about to get an Original visit! Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) may have lost more than one family member in The Originals final season, but she’s still got a few aunts and uncles out there in the world, and one of them is about to pay a visit to Mystic Falls!
TV Guide has learned exclusively that Riley Voelkel will reprise her role of Freya Mikaelson in the sixth episode of Legacies Season 2 this year. We don’t yet know what will bring Freya back into the world of the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, but it’s probably safe to assume the kids will be in need of her extraordinary magical talents.
The last time we saw Freya, she was mourning the loss of her brothers, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies), but she did manage to get her own happily ever after with her wife, Keelin (Christina Moses). Now that Hope has been erased from everyone’s memory, it raises the question of whether Freya will even remember she’s supposed to have a niece in Mystic Falls, but if anyone could figure out how to return Hope from whatever Malivore-related dimension she’s stuck in, it’s her Aunt Freya!
Legacies returns Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9/8c on The CW.
