Colin Stetson to Soundtrack New Adult Swim Horror Anime Miniseries

Adult Swim has announced “Uzumaki,” a new anime miniseries based upon the renowned 1990s horror manga serial from Junji Ito. It’s set to debut during the network’s Toonami slot in 2020, and will feature original music by Colin Stetson, the prolific saxophonist and composer who recently scored another Lovecraftian project—the Nicolas Cage film Color Out of Space—and was responsible for the soundtrack to Ari Aster’s Hereditary. “Uzumaki” will air as a four-episode miniseries. Last year, Adult Swim announced “Blade Runner — Black Lotus,“ a spin-off anime taking place in the Blade Runner universe that includes Shinichiro Watanabe (“Cowboy Bebop”) among its creative producers.
