If there is a god, hopefully they’re paying attention to the winners of the 35th Annual Television Critics Association Awards. The second season of Phoebe Waller-Bridge‘s incredible comedy Fleabag dominated Saturday’s ceremony, taking home three awards, including the biggest prize of the evening, Program of the Year.
Waller-Bridge then beat out Better Things‘ Pamela Adlon, Barry‘s Bill Hader, Veep‘s Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Russian Doll‘s Natasha Lyonne, and Schitt’s Creek‘s Catherine O’Hara to take home the award for Individual Achievement in Comedy. The show itself was rewarded with the prize for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, besting Barry, The Good Place, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Russian Doll, Schitt’s Creek, and Veep. So take note, Emmy voters!
As previously announced, the groundbreaking HBO Western Deadwood and its creator, David Milch, were also honored with the Heritage Award and the Career Achievement Award, marking the first time the honorees were ever paired in such a way.
