No one told Kristin Davis life was going to be this way.
But somehow, the Sex and the City alum was set up on a date with Matthew Perry by an attorney during the height of Friends‘ success in the late ’90s.
“It was between Melrose Place, which I did before City,” Kristin shared on the Aug. 18 episode of her Are You a Charotte? podcast. “It was at a house. It was a dinner party. It was so low-key.”
Though the bash also included “a bunch of Hollywood people,” the 60-year-old said she doesn’t remember who else was there “other than this lawyer and Matthew.”
“Matthew’s lovely,” Kristin continued of the actor, who passed away at age 54 in 2023. “He sits next to me and he’s talking about how thrilled he is, how happy they are on the set at Friends.”
And while nothing romantic ever came of their exchange, the actress said that Matthew’s excitement about his work led to a revaluation of her own career.
