Warner Bros Motion Pictures Group and MRC’s feature adaptation of Wuthering Heights from Oscar winner Emerald Fennell will hit theaters on Feb. 13, 2026.

The Margot Robbie-Jacob Elordi starring, LuckyChap production based on the Emily Brontë novel is a clear destination for female audiences over that period. Already on Feb. 13, 2026 is another female-demo movie, Universal’s feature take of Colleen Hoover novel, Reminders of Him. Sony also has the animated feature, Goat from Tyree Dillihay.

Hong Chau, Alison Oliver and Shazad Latif also star in Wuthering Heights.

Robbie is set to star as Catherine Earnshaw, and Elordi will play Heathcliff. Fennell adapted the 1847 novel and is prepping for a UK shoot early next year. The original story follows two families, the Earnshaws and the Lintons and the turbulent relationship they have with the Earnshaws’ foster son, Heathcliff. Plot details on Fennell’s version are unknown at this time.

As Deadline told you first, Warner Bros snatched the project away from Netflix and Amazon in a fierce bidding war. Fennell and Robbie wanted to a theatrical release for this with a proper P&A spend and Warners won the project with a $75M acquisition, which was under Netflix’s top bid of $150M. Top talent will receive a proper backend participation tied to the movie’s box office success. Originally, we heard that Wuthering Heights was going to be part of a new experimental back-end formula at Netflix whereby talent received bonuses based on how well the film performed on the OTT service.

Earlier today, Warner Bros. beefed up their 2026 with the addition of DC Studios’ Clayface in the post-Labor Day box office rich slot, Sept. 11.
