Jim Carrey could potentially be seen in the iconic green mask once again.

The actor recently revealed to Comicbook.com that he would be open to reprising his role in a sequel to his 1994 comedy The Mask.

“Oh gosh, you know, it has to be the right idea,” Carrey confessed. “If somebody had the right idea, I guess… It’s not really about the money. I joke about the money… But I never know. You can’t be definite about these things. I said I’d like to retire, but I think I was talking more about power-resting. Because as soon as a good idea comes your way, or a group of people that you really enjoyed working with and stuff, it just — things tend to change.”

The Mask follows bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss (Carrey), who transforms into a manic superhero when he wears a mysterious mask. The film also stars Cameron Diaz and Peter Riegert.

This isn’t Carrey’s only big character that the actor has recently considered reprising, despite stepping back from Hollywood over the last decade. Earlier this week, he told Comicbook.com that he would also return for a How the Grinch Stole Christmas sequel “if we could figure out the Grinch” costume.

In the 2000 holiday movie, he had to wear a full-body prosthetic green suit and makeup for his character as the Grinch, which was an “extremely excruciating process.”

The Bruce Almighty actor also recently reprised his role as Dr. Robotnik in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which hits theaters on Dec. 20. Carrey told the Associated Press that he “came back to this universe because, first of all, I get to play a genius, which is a bit of a stretch. And, you know, it’s just… I bought a lot of stuff, and I need the money, frankly.”
