This is falling in love in the cruelest sweetest way.

Nine months after debuting his relationship with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce revealed what it was about the “Anti-Hero” singer that first made him realize it’s a love story and he wanted to say yes.

“She’s very self-aware,” the Kansas City Chiefs player said during the June 25 episode of the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast. “I think that’s why I started to really fall for her, is how genuine she is around friends, family. it can get crazy for somebody with that much attention, and she just keeps it so chill and so cool. And that’s something I can admire for sure.”

He also cited her first NFL appearance—watching the Chiefs face off against the Chicago Bears in September—as a turning point.

“The first game she came to I was like, ‘I can probably set you up with everything,'” Travis remembered. “And she just walked right through the front door. There’s no going down, talking to security. She was like, ‘I just want to be around family and friends and experience this with everybody.'”
