Blackpink member Lisa has joined the ever-expanding cast of The White Lotus Season 3, reports Variety, and will be credited under her given name of Lalisa Manobal. She joins Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Aimee Lou Wood, and more than a dozen others who are slated to star in the next season of the Mike White-directed TV show on HBO. Lisa’s role has not been revealed, which is true for the rest of the cast as well.

Plot details for the third season of The White Lotus are still under wraps, but production is set to begin filming around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand later this month. The new season also stars Dom Hetrakul, Tayme Thapthimthong, Christian Friedel, Julian Kostov, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Carrie Coon, Scott Glenn, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola.

This part in The White Lotus will mark Lisa’s acting debut. However, she’s not the first Blackpink member to appear on a TV show. Last year, Jennie starred in the Weeknd’s HBO show The Idol, even recording a collaborative song for the show with him and co-star Lily-Rose Depp.

Last year, Blackpink headlined Coachella for both weekends along with Bad Bunny and Frank Ocean. The K-pop singers were also named honorary Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) at Buckingham Palace due to their commitment to raising awareness about climate change. Their second album, Born Pink, came out back in September 2022.
