Cohen Media Group Dates Christian Carion’s ‘Driving Madeleine’ For Winter 2024

EXCLUSIVE: Cohen Media Group will be releasing Driving Madeleine, the next movie from Oscar-nominated director Christian Carion’s (Joyeux Noel), on Jan. 12, 2024 in limited release.

Written and directed by Carion, and starring Line Renaud (Dirty Money, Cop or Hood) and Dany Boon (Nothing to Declare, Family is Family, Murder Mystery), Driving Madeleine follows the unlikely friendship of a struggling taxi driver and an elderly passenger on a heartfelt journey through Paris. A seemingly simple taxi ride evolves into a profound meditation on the realities of the driver, whose personal life is in shambles, and his fare, an elderly woman whose warmth belies her shocking past.

The pic will play on Jan. 12 in in New York at the QUAD Cinema (34 West 13^th Street) and in Los Angeles at Landmark Theatres Sunset (8000 Sunset Blvd.) and Landmark’s Pasadena Playhouse (673 E Colorado Blvd.) before going nationwide on Jan. 19.

Driving Madeleine had its North American Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival’s 47^th Edition this past September, and it had its U.S. Premiere at the 2023 Palm Springs International Film Festival. The film was also an official selection at the Miami Film Festival.

Driving Madeleine is an Une Hirondelle Productions, Pathe and TF1 production and was produced by Christian Carion and Laure Irrmann.
