Bambii: Infinity Club [Innovative Leisure]

Toronto DJ and producer Kirsten Azan’s debut EP as Bambii makes a case for its title in just under twenty minutes, packing the runtime with club-ready tracks expanding on her signature blend of garage, jungle, industrial, R&B, and dancehall. Infinity Club features “Wicked Gyal,” “Hooked” with Aluna, and “One Touch.” Bambii’s credits this year also include a hand in the production of Kelela’s Raven lead single “On the Run.”

Florry: The Holey Bible [Dear Life]

Following 2021’s Big Fall, Francie Medosch’s Philadelphia-based country rock band is back with its latest album. Written at her parents’ home in rural Pennsylvania, it’s an album filled with optimism. The record, made with a lineup including pedal steel player Sam Silbert and fiddler Will Henriksen, features the singles “Take My Heart,” “Cowgirl Giving,” and “Drunk and High.”

Mark Ronson & Andrew Wyatt: Barbie (Score from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) [WaterTower]

Following the all-star Barbie soundtrack, fans of Greta Gerwig’s film can now enjoy Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt’s original score. In addition to new renditions of Lizzo and Billie Eilish’s soundtrack contributions, its song titles align appropriately with crucial scenes from the film. Those include (and seriously, these are so vague that there’s no way this requires a spoiler alert) “Thoughts of Death,” “Ken Makes a Discovery,” and of course, “Alan vs Kens.”

Iceboy Violet: Not a Dream but a Controlled Explosion [Fixed Abode/Supernature]

Iceboy Violet has followed up their 2022 mixtape The Vanity Project with a new project layering the UK rapper-producer’s verse over ambient production influenced by grime and noise. Not a Dream but a Controlled Explosion features “Wounded Coogi” and “Black Gold” with Florence Sinclair.” Six new songs round out its 17-minute runtime.

Gaadge: Somewhere Down Below [Crafted Sounds]

Gaadge is a rock band from Pittsburgh that’s been kicking around for about a decade; its members have been in the bands Ex Pilots, Living World, and Barlow. Their latest packs songs with elements of ’90s indie rock, shoegaze, and punk. The album “leaves behind the noise of home recordings in favor of crisp production that opens the door to a wider audience,” writes Pitchfork’s Meg Fair.

Stolen Jars: I Won’t Let Me Down [Boom]

Stolen Jars is the Brooklyn indie rock outfit from Cody Fitzgerald, Sarah Coffey, Elias Spector-Zabusky, Grant Meyer, and Isaiah Hazzard. I Won’t Let Me Down was mixed and co-produced by Hop Along’s Joe Reinhart. The single “Run It Wild” featured guest vocals from its co-writer, Frankie Cosmos’ Greta Kline.

Dippers: Clastic Rock [Goner]

There once was a band called Thigh Master, and now they’re called Dippers. The Melbourne-based band’s jangly new album Clastic Rock is their first full-length under the new name—the product of collaboration between multi-instrumentalists and songwriters Matthew Ford and Innez Tulloch. Hear the singles “Encouragement in Brackets” and “Tightening the Tangles.”
