Watch Taylor Swift Perform “Nothing New” With Phoebe Bridgers

They broke out the Red (Taylor’s Version) song for her first Eras Tour stadium show in Nashville

Last night (May 5) during the first of her Eras Tour stops in Nashville, Taylor Swift surprised fans by bringing out Phoebe Bridgers to perform “Nothing New” together from Red (Taylor’s Version). Both artists played acoustic guitar while singing the song in unison. Watch a fan-captured video of the moment below.

Swift pulled out all the stops for the first of her hometown shows last night. Near the end of the concert, she announced the next of her re-recorded early albums: Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is coming out July 7. In an Instagram post, Swift later said there will be six previously unreleased tracks on it. The original version of the album was first released back in 2010.

Back in March, Bridgers presented Swift with the Innovator Award at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards. During her introduction, she recalled discovering Swift on the country radio station with her mother and being moved by her songwriting. “Taylor has always told the truth,” said Bridgers. “She’s written songs from exactly where she is. Her music shifted genre in the same way life does—in the same way being 16 is totally incomparable to being 18, 22, 25, 28. I’m grateful that I’ve grown up in a world with Taylor Swift in it. Or, ‘The World (Taylor’s Version).’”
