Last year’s edition of Lollapalooza featured Metallica, Dua Lipa, J. Cole, Green Day, Doja Cat, and more. Metallica’s appearance at the festival marked their viral meeting with Joseph Quinn, aka Stranger Things metalhead Eddie Munson. The festival was also marked by some controversy: Lil Durk was injured in a pyrotechnics accident, activists protested what they deemed the double standard of the event’s waived youth curfew, while a security guard was charged with faking a mass shooting threat.
