Watch the National Perform “Tropic Morning News” on Fallon

The first single from their next album First Two Pages of Frankenstein

The National stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (March 3), where they performed their recent song “Tropic Morning News.” Watch it all go down below.

The indie stalwarts announced their ninth studio album First Two Pages of Frankenstein earlier this year. They also shared lead single “Tropic Morning News,” which was co-written with lead singer Matt Berninger’s wife, Carin Besser. The album, which arrives April 28, features guest contributions from Taylor Swift, Sufjan Stevens, and Phoebe Bridgers.

The National followed “Tropic Morning News” with the release of “New Order T-Shirt.” The single also inspired a T-shirt collab between the National and New Order. The National will kick off a tour behind First Two Pages of Frankenstein in May.
