Arabic-language online music magazine Ma3azef has released a new compilation to benefit artists and mutual aid funds in Beirut, which suffered a massive explosion on August 4 that led to hundreds of deaths and the displacement of hundreds of thousands. Nisf Madeena, curated in partnership with mastering engineer Heba Kadry, includes new and previously unreleased tracks from artists such as Nicolás Jaar, Fatima Al Qadiri, Silkback, ZULI, and others. All proceeds are going towards the Fundraising Campaign for the Arts and Culture Community in Beirut (organized by AFAC), the Beirut Musicians’ Fund (organized by Tunefork Studios), and Beit el Baraka.
