Updated 6/28: Disney+ has released a new trailer ahead of the July 3 release of Hamilton: An American Musical. Nothing in this look at the film is too new, but there are some dramatic, shadowy shots of the cast set to a piano version of the musical’s appropriately titled first song “Alexander Hamilton,” which should succeed at getting the Hamilfans even more hyped than they already were. There’s less than a month until Hamilton: An American Musical makes its way to Disney+. The Broadway favorite was filmed with its original cast back in 2016 and was originally set to hit theaters in the fall of 2021, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the theatrical phenomenon will now debut on Disney+ on Friday, July 3.
The trailer gives just a sneak peek of what fans and people anxious to see the musical that was sold out around the country can expect from the filmed spectacular.
