Bright Eyes’ return continued last night with a performance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The band performed “Mariana Trench” from their just-announced new album Down in the Weeds Where the World Once Was. Watch it happen below.

The new album is out August 21 via Dead Oceans. It features the previously shared songs “Persona Non Grata,” “Forced Convalescence,” and “One and Done.” Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and Nathaniel Walcott are joined on the album by Flea and Jon Theodore (the Mars Volta, Queens of the Stone Age).
