Nas appeared on the second season of the PBS program Poetry in America, discussing Walt Whitman’s poetry and the mark it left on the American canon. The episode is currently airing on PBS stations around the country, and debuts on PBS’ WORLD Channel on Saturday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m. ET. It can also be streamed at Poetry in America’s website. This is not Nas’ first appearance on the program; he was featured in episode 11 of season 1, which broke down his classic Illmatic track “N.Y. State of Mind.” Earlier this year, he appeared at the Grammys with Lil Nas X to perform the latter’s song “Rodeo”; he also appeared in the song’s music video. Nas’ last album was 2019’s The Lost Tapes 2.
