  • Amid the coronavirus pandemic and nationwide shelter-at-home orders, many will be celebrating Mother’s Day apart from their loved ones.
  • Louis Vuitton is stepping up to bolster virtual celebrations with the launch of customizable Mother’s Day e-cards, complete with limited-edition patches.
  • No purchase is required to send the digital cards.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and—as we all settle into our quarantine routines—many might be spending the holiday apart from their loved ones. Despite the distance that separates you from Mom, Louis Vuitton is hoping to help close that gap with the launch of #WELVMOMS.

The completely customizable function allows you to build your own e-cards using the luxury fashion house’s limited-edition Mother’s Day patches and GIFs, including cute illustrations of Louis Vuitton icons like the Flower Trunk, Petite Malle, LV mascot Vivienne, and, of course, the Monogram. Finish it all off with a personal message, and then the e-card will immediately be sent to your loved one.

Though the interactive experience is also completely complimentary, it certainly doesn’t hurt to send along one of the brand’s products to show your love. If you order something through the company’s website by May 5, the gift will arrive with free delivery by May 10.

The Mother’s Day e-card launch is the latest initiative undertaken by the fashion house in the era of the coronavirus pandemic. Louis Vuitton also opened its workshops in France to produce “hundreds of thousands of non-surgical protective masks.” Meanwhile, its facilities in the United States will also produce nonsurgical face masks.
