Over the past few weeks I’ve found myself returning to this story from our April Conservation Issue, which the incredibly talented Cole Sprouse shot in the sun-drenched landscape of Death Valley. As I sit at home I have started to reflect on my own on-the-go lifestyle and how I often take for granted the stillness and beauty of life and nature around us.

The earth during this difficult time has proved that it will not stop spinning, the trees and flowers will not stop blooming, the birds will keep chirping, and the clouds will eventually part to reveal a blue sky that the sun will forever shine through. With our April issue dedicated to Earth day and this added time to reflect at home, I have begun to reconnect with the nature around me and appreciate this time to breathe. While the fashion here is beautiful, the rolling mountains, rich sand, and the scorching sun evokes the greatest beauty of all, Mother Nature. —Nina Garcia, ELLE Editor-in-Chief
