Hiss Golden Messenger have released a new live album that they recorded at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, North Carolina last year. And, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the band is donating all proceeds from the album to North Carolina’s Durham Public Schools Foundation. Listen to Forward, Children below.

A press release explains that Hiss Golden Messenger leader M.C. Taylor taught at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after graduating from the college. In addition, it states that his wife Abby is an ESL teacher in Durham and that their children are enrolled in Durham Public Schools. “It’s my duty as a dad of students and the spouse of a teacher to give what I can,” Taylor said.

Hiss Golden Messenger released Terms of Surrender in 2019.
