Virgil Abloh and Jordan Brand’s Love Affair Continues on the Off-White Runway

If there was a Mount Rushmore for Virgil Abloh’s most coveted and adored sneaker collaborations, the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 sneaker (released in 2017) would be featured—a sneaker that currently costs upwards $3,000 on re-seller sites. That alone would be a tough act to follow, but Abloh’s love affair with Air Jordan is nowhere near finished. At the Off-White fall 2020 show in Paris on Thursday, Abloh debuted the latest design in his ongoing partnership with Air Jordan, putting his own spin on the Air Jordan 4.

The Off-White x Air Jordan 4 sneaker made its debut alongside the collection’s white, neutral, neon and cow print runway. Devoid of his signature deconstructed aesthetic, the Off-White x Air Jordan 4 is dressed in a natural oatmeal shade with beige uppers and Off-White’s signature tag. In true Abloh fashion, the word “Shoelaces” is written on the laces while “Air” is inscribed on the side of the sole.

Abloh first teased his newest collaboration in an Instagram post hours before the show, writing, “forever attempting to jump from the free throw line.” Just two weeks before, Abloh released his take on the iconic Air Jordan 5 in a charcoal black colorway for the fellas, in honor of the sneaker’s 30th anniversary this year. The Off-White x Air Jordan 4 appears to be just for the ladies.

The release date for the Off-White x Air Jordan 4 has not been announced, but hypebeasts’ eyes are peeled to Off-White’s social for updates—and yours should be too.
