See Every Look from Marc Jacobs’s Fall 2020 Show

Marc Jacobs’s fall 2020 show was more than just a showcase of his latest collection, it was a feeling. What began with legendary choreographer and “punk ballerina” Karole Armitage seizing the spotlight at Manhattan’s Park Avenue Armory quickly descended into carefully curated chaos: over fifty dancers running, writhing, and undulating among a stream of models (and one Miley Cyrus.) The overall effect was at once anxiety-inducing and exhilarating—much like New York City itself. The calm came in the form of the clothes themselves: easy shift dresses, loose, forgiving coats, glamorous ’50s-era gowns, and sharp suits in a predominantly solid (read: soothing) color palette. Peter Pan collars, Madeline hats, and Mary Janes conjured childhood memories—sartorial security blankets for when the world is just too much to handle. Ahead, every look from the 140-look collection, each one more wearable than the next.
