NBC is doing the whole New Year’s resolution thing a bit early and promises to really shake things up in 2020. Every night on the Peacock’s midseason lineup will be revamped with the exception of Saturdays and Wednesdays. The latter of which will remain a One Chicago night, network executives announced Friday.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is returning to Thursday nights for a highly anticipated seventh season that will kick off with an hour-long premiere at 8 p.m. Feb. 6. The cop comedy will then move to it’s regular 8:30 p.m. Thursday time slot a week later. And look for The Good Place 90-minute series finale Thursday Jan. 30. Meanwhile, the second season of Manifest will also roll out in January and hopefully answer more questions than it creates.
Non-scripted midseason returns include America’s Got Talent: The Champions and Ellen’s Game of Games. America’s Got Talent: The Champions will premiere Jan. 6 and bow to The Voice, when it returns Feb. 24.
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist tops the roster of new series and will get a one-time preview Jan. 7 before moving on to its official Sunday-night time slot Feb. 16. It’s a dramatic musical comedy starring Jane Levy and Lauren Graham. The other new series to look out for are Council of Dads, Indebted and Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector. Council of Dads will replace This Is Us when it wraps up its fourth season in March.
