Outlander’s First MacKenzie Family Photo Is Too Cute for Words

Things may be stressful for the Fraser clan heading into Outlander Season 5 considering the American Revolution is upon them, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t time for some good family fun. The first photo of the MacKenzies (or Wakefields, depending on what century we’re referring to) — Roger (Richard Rankin), Bree (Sophie Skelton) and baby Jeremiah — has arrived.

“[Sophie Skelton] and [Richard Rankin] are going to blow you away in Outlander Season 5,” reads the caption of the photo released by Starz on Friday.

The photo shows Bree, Roger, and the baby smiling at each other as Bree gathers laundry and Roger holds a guitar outside the house at Fraser’s Ridge. The happy family photo is nice to see considering the hard time the couple had in Season 4. First, Bree rejected Roger’s awkward proposal in the 20th Century, and then he chased her through time back to the late 1700s to help her warn her parents that a fire could kill one or both of them.

Everything We Know About Outlander Season 5

However, they were separated after getting into a massive fight the day after their informal wedding. Bree was then brutally raped by Stephen Bonnett (Ed Speleers), and Jamie (Sam Heughan) attacked Roger, thinking he was the one who assaulted his daughter. The latter half of the season was spent with the Frasers trying to find Roger to bring him back to Bree as she gave birth to her first child. While Roger initially refused to come back to his wife, he reconsidered and they reunited in the Season 4 finale, deciding to stay in the past and raise the child together.

After all of that, laundry and sing-a-longs seems like a great life. Let’s hope they can at least have some peace before the revolution kicks into high gear.

Outlander Season 5 premieres Sunday Feb. 16, 2020 on Starz.
